Leicester Waterside features in UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture report!

We’re pleased to see our Leicester Waterside project, delivered in partnership with Keepmoat Homes , featured as a case study in a new report by UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture. The report, “How High-Quality Housing Can Be Delivered in Less Well-off Areas”, highlights developments across England that have successfully raised design standards in challenging contexts.

Leicester Waterside is a great example of how thoughtful urban regeneration, strong partnerships, and good design can come together to create meaningful change in areas that are often overlooked. The project reflects a long-term approach that prioritises both placemaking and value — not just for today, but for the future of the community.

The report outlines ten different strategies that have helped schemes like ours succeed — from rethinking the economic model to making better use of public land and ensuring local ambition plays a key role.
We’re proud to be part of the conversation around how design quality can drive wider social, economic, and environmental benefits — and even more proud that Leicester Waterside is seen as helping set that standard.
