BM3 were selected for this prestigious project through a competitive tendering process in July 2005. The College is very successful and attracts a high number of students to its campus, which has in the main, high quality buildings. The original refectory block, however, had reached the end of its life and a new building has been developed to provide modern social learning facilities.

Block 8 is a two storey building with the Refectory on the ground floor and teaching spaces on the first floor. The building was completed in May 2009 and is now occupied by the College. The principal elevation faces south west, looking over the main pedestrian route through the campus. This block is the first phase of four new buildings which will provide new IT, LDD, Animal Care and Science facilities as well as a new social hub for the campus focussed around a new square.

In September 2008 a planning application was submitted for the next phase of the improvements of the Whittingham Road Campus. The application was granted approval for three new teaching Blocks (9, 10, 11) and the landscaping.
